We had a problem this morning with a couple users asking offensive questions. We want to maintain an open community, but acknowledge that offensive language may interfere with the educational goals of the site. Rather than disallowing a arbitrary word list, we’ve created a method to allow the community to decide what is appropriate. 

The report as inappropriate on the question screen removes 10 views when clicked. If a question reaches negative views, it is not displayed on the homepage. As such, if a question is popular, despite offending some people, it stays. However, if it is truly offensive to the entire community it gets removed.
